A Changing World

The role of a firefighter has never been more challenging. Some of these challenges are because of climate change with firefighters called out to incidents of flooding, wildfires and other natural disasters, but others are as a result of the changes in the fabric of our own lives. As a consequence, fires are more dangerous because of the increasing heat load, duration, and toxicity of substances released during fire.

Not only must firefighters be well-trained, physically and mentally fit, and safely equipped, but they must also properly wear the most ergonomic and best protective gear, and maintain, clean and disinfect it.

THE MSA MISSION SINCE 1914:

That men and women may work in safety and that they, their families, and their communities may live in health throughout the world.

Committed to Firefighter Health & Safety
